Whether you are a novice or an experienced scientists, we need your help to survey this forests that has been slated for logging in 2020. In small teams we will record the plant and animal life in this forest area, adding this information to the Atlas of Living Australia and the Natural Values Atlas. Highlighting the ecological values of this forest, and the fact it is worth more standing.

Surveys undertaken include:

- Big tree measuring and recording

- Searching for habitat hollows in mature trees

- Recording life in the undergrowth, insects, fungi and the important little things.

- Fauna monitoring through tracks, scats and scratchings

What to bring: sturdy boots, warm clothing and wet weather gear, we will be doing a bit of scrambling over trees, logs and mossy gullies. Binoculars and camera and/or phone camera if you have them. Lunch and snacks, water, a sense of adventure and willingess to share your knowlege and learn something new.

Driving on unsealed roads to get to the forest is required, if your car is not able to do this let us know and we will attempt to arrange carpooling. Additionally if you have a car suitable for unsealed roads, and some spare seats, let us know so we can arrange you a car buddy.
