About the Event
The forests of north east Tasmania are like nowhere else on earth, and they are coming under increasing threat from logging. As we speak roads are being pushed through to give logging access to the Krushkas and Dam Busters mountain bike trail in the forested hills of the town of Derby.
Join us on Tuesday December 29 in Derby to ride the Krushkas trail and show the world these forests are #WorthMoreStanding.
Local MTB guides will be leading a group ride up the Krushka's trail, meeting at the Derby trail head at 3pm, for a 3.15 departure. We will gather at Big Mamma Tree on the Krushka's MTB trail at 5pm to celebrate these forests, and stand together to save the Gondwanic remnant forests of north east Tasmania.
If you cannot make it to Derby for the day you can show your support online by posting to Instagram and Facebook your message of support, and a picture of your time in the forests of NE tassie and our trails. Tag us in @bluederbywild and show the world the forests of north east Tasmania are #WorthMoreStanding
